I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Struggling update

Tuesday 16th Sep
Unfortunately after much knee pain and visits to the physiotherapist and eventually hospital for x ray on said knee I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis which is why I’m  experiencing the knee pain.. Resting really helps and walking any distance is setting it off again so I’m really struggling to get any considerate distance in towards my target. I’ll keep doing at least 2k each day when I can (seems to be my
Limit ) before the pain really sets in . I’ll hopefully manage to complete but if not my

So today is the first day of this amazing challenge and it’s going to be just that .. anyone who knows me will know I love to walk  so of course when I found out my Son and DIL  were supporting SANDS by walking 100K in September then of course I wanted to support them .. It’s been a  tough few years and the least I can do is offer my support in any way I can .. Having recently (bad timing) suffered a knee injury I’m still hobbling along and some days better than others but I’ll give it my all and hopefully can complete the 100K in 30days!   Your support will help spur me on and I’ll keep you updated of my progress .. wish me luck 🍀
