We're walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
In September, we will be walking 100km to raise money for SANDS, the charity supporting anyone affected by the loss of a baby.
Earlier this year, at 3 months gestation, we lost our much-wanted second baby. The grief and emptiness that followed was devastating. Our little boy Rowan, who is five, also missed out on becoming the amazing big brother we know he would have been.
We are doing this walk in memory of our baby, and in honour of far too many friends and loved ones who have also experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage, stillbirth or baby loss. Sadly, it is something that touches so many families, yet it often goes unspoken.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
