Beyond Boarders Team Intro
I’ve committed to running 50k in September with the Beyond Boarders Team for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sadly we lost our own child Hamish at 5 months pregnancy term which was the worst day of our lives and such a shock. More people need to reach out for help as I know all too well how hard it is to live with the empty feeling of losing a child, the guilt we hold, the grief we struggle with and the sadness we endlessly carry. We learn to cope with our emotions day to day and the person-centred services Sands provides can help so much.
I set up the BEYOND BOARDERS Team to encourage more people to come on board and support this amazing cause.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Pre-September Training
Wednesday 27th Aug I ran 5.90 miles this morning in preparation for the 50km worth of runs in September. It’s tricky running in 26-36 degree heat at the moment but mornings and late night runs will be my best friend!! ShareThank you to my Sponsors

You're so much stronger than you think you are xx Lizzie went through the same awful experience. Hospital staff left her sat by the Scan Photo machine whilst they waited confirmation of an empty womb. Absolutely horrendous sitting there with happy families xx
