I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss
This year I've made the commitment to live more intentionally — not just improving my health and fitness, but also making conscious choices such as supporting causes close to my heart.
With that in mind, Claire and I have committed to a challenge this January: running 2km every day for SANDS, in support of families whose babies are no longer here and to raise awareness of the support available for anyone who finds themselves in this horrible position.
To some of our running friends this might not sound like much — but anyone who knows us will know that running really isn’t our thing. Between us we’ve had five pregnancies in the last five years, so fitness really has taken a back seat. This feels like the right time to challenge ourselves — and to do it for something that truly matters.
We are running in support of SANDS, an incredible charity that supported Claire's family and so many other families who have faced the unimaginable loss of a baby.
SANDS ensures that everyone affected by the death of a baby gets the care, understanding and support they need during the hardest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and fund vital research — all with the aim of reducing baby loss and supporting families when tragedy strikes.
Spreading the word about the great work this chairty does is so important to me and anything you are able to donate means the world.
Thank you for your support 🤍
