Sands Knitting Challenge

I’m taking on the Sands knitting challenge

I should have knitted my blanket in October, however the kit and the pattern did not arrive until mid November, so after a chat, I decided that I would attempt to knit the blanket as a Christmas Project, starting on the 22nd December and hopefully finishing on the 1st January.  My  blanket will  be in memory of three very special babies who went to heaven, two at 6 months and one pre-term.  They will always be loved and missed by family and friends.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

So I only managed half an hour last night, but that was better than nothing.  So thirty stitches cast on and a small corner knitted.  Hoping to get up to a 100 stitches today 😊

Good luck, Elaine. I know you knit but you have given yourself a short time frame for this one.
