I’ve committed to the April Jogging/Walking Challenge for families facing baby loss
As many of you know, my life as a mum of four is beautifully chaotic. My days are filled with noise, laughter, and the constant juggle of a big family. But that is only half of my story.
I am also a mother who has walked the lonely path of pregnancy loss three times.
Those three miscarriages fundamentally changed me. They changed how I show up for the children in my arms and how I hold space for the ones in my heart. It’s a perspective born from the "messy middle" of motherhood—the parts that are exhausting, the parts that are heartbreaking, and the parts that make every single second worth it.
This April, I am taking part in the Sands 60km Challenge.
I’m walking (and jogging!) to represent the 1 in 4 pregnancies that end in loss. I’m walking to ensure that no one has to navigate that "lonely path" without support. Most importantly, I’m walking for my children—the four who keep me on my toes and the three who gave me a different kind of strength.
How you can help:
I have a goal to raise £250 for Sands. Whether it’s the price of a coffee or a larger donation, every penny helps provide specialist support for bereaved families and funds research to save babies' lives.
Track my progress: I’ll be sharing my distances here throughout the month!
Thank you for supporting me, my family, and this cause that is so close to my heart.
