I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk
I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.
Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.
By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Sands continue this vital work—offering hope, understanding and support, and creating a lasting legacy in memory of every baby who has died.
Starlight Walk brings people together under the night sky to remember, reflect and walk in honour of their babies, while raising funds for Sands. If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:
http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk. Events take place across the UK, or you can walk virtually wherever you are.
On the darkest nights, the stars shine brightest.
Thank you for helping keep that light shining.

About us…
Tuesday 15th SepThree pregnancies. Three losses. One charity that helped us through the unimaginable. 🤍
In early 2025, Dray and I started trying to conceive. We were so excited to begin building the future we had always dreamed of.
In August, we found out we were pregnant. Our little miracle was growing… until, at 8 weeks, in late September, we experienced a complete miscarriage.
We were absolutely devastated.
But we found hope again. We started trying, and in early November, we found out we were pregnant for a second time.
This time, we dared to believe.
Only to lose our baby on New Year’s Eve.
As 2026 began, so did the realisation that the future we had pictured — the children, the family, the life we had dreamed about — suddenly felt like it was disappearing.
We spent four months trying to rebuild ourselves.
Then, in May, we found out we were pregnant again.
Three months later, in July, we experienced our third loss: a missed miscarriage. This time, I needed surgery.
Three pregnancies. Three losses. A year that changed us forever.
And yet, through the heartbreak, there has been one constant source of support: SANDS — the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society.
SANDS has become a huge part of our lives. They have helped us navigate grief that is incredibly difficult to put into words, and have reminded us that our babies matter, our grief matters, and we don’t have to face it alone.
That’s why we’re fundraising for SANDS. 🤍
Every donation, no matter how big or small, can help SANDS continue supporting families through the devastating loss of a baby.
If our story has touched you, please consider donating.
Help us turn some of our heartbreak into hope for someone else.
🤍 Please donate. Please share. Please help us support SANDS.
Because behind every statistic is a family.
And behind every loss is a baby who was deeply loved.
