I just thought I’d leave a quick message. 


Thank you very much for all your support and donations. I never thought I could raise anywhere near this amount.

Why?

Hello everyone, 

Earlier this year myself and Kelly had found out we were expecting our first child. As you can imagine we were both very excited with the news. 

On 7th April we went for the 12 week scan expecting it to be just a routine check. It was anything but. 

Unfortunately the scan revealed the baby had a chromosome abnormality, and with further blood test it was narrowed down to either Edward or Patau syndrome. 

Babies with either of these conditions very rarely make it full term, if they do are highly likely still born and with the slim chance babies are born, they’re lucky to see their first birthdays. 

With many conversations between ourselves, midwives and consultants we decided the best option was to end the pregnancy, as this would prevent suffering to our child.

Sands is a charity that helps bereaved parents come to terms with their loss. 

I'm running 100km throughout May to help raise money for Sands so they can continue to support parents who have lost a child. 

I will also be running for our little boy, Baby Jones, who was delivered on the 11th April 2026 at 05.59.
