2026 Run 50k in September

I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Supporting Families Through the Hardest Times

Tuesday 1st Sep
I’ve decided to raise money for Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) because I believe no parent should ever have to go through the unimaginable pain of losing a baby alone.

Sands supports families who have experienced the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. They provide a safe place for parents, families and loved ones to find support, information and understanding at one of the most difficult times anyone could face.

I want to raise money because the work Sands does is incredibly important. When a family loses a baby, there are no easy words that can make the pain disappear. Having someone there who understands, who can listen without judgement and who can provide support can make a huge difference.

The money I raise will help Sands continue providing vital support to bereaved families, as well as funding research and education to help improve care and understanding around baby loss.

For me, this isn't simply about raising money. It's about showing families who have experienced baby loss that they are not forgotten, that their babies are not forgotten, and that they don't have to face such an incredibly difficult journey by themselves.
