Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Wednesday 15th AprThis April, I’m running 60km for Sands, the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity.
I’ll be honest—I hate running. Deeply. But I’m attempting to drag myself back to something close to “GregorFit” (currently a work in progress).
Last year, my wife and I went through a miscarriage after years of trying for a baby. It’s something far too many families experience, often in silence. Sands does incredible work supporting those affected, funding research, and improving care—and I wanted to do something, however small, to help.
So this is me, doing something I don’t enjoy, for a cause that really matters.
