2026 Run 50k in September

I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

🏃‍♂️ 2nd run completed today for SANDS 💙

Thursday 3rd Sep
My legs were aching before I’d even started, and there were a few times during the run when I honestly wanted to give up.

But whenever it got tough, I found myself thinking about the babies who never got the chance to live, and the families who have had to experience that unimaginable heartbreak.

It’s amazing how that thought has pushed me to keep going. It’s given me the motivation to dig a little deeper and push myself further and harder than I normally would.

Every step, every ache and every difficult moment is worth it knowing I’m doing this for such an important cause. 💙
2 runs down… 50K is the goal, and I’m going to keep pushing! 💪🏃‍♂️

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared my posts or supported me along the way. It genuinely means a lot. 🙏💙

🏃‍♂️ 1st run done! 💪

Tuesday 1st Sep
I’m starting off slow and steady with a 3K, which was definitely a challenge for me! But I persevered, pushed through, and managed to push myself that little bit further. 👊

It’s only the first run, but it’s a start and I’m determined to keep going and improve along the way.

If you can, please keep donating to support such a well worth charity. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and help towards supporting poorly babies and their families. ❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated it really is appreciated! 🙏

A week to go

Monday 24th Aug
A week tomorrow, I’ll be starting a personal challenge of running 50K throughout the month of September.

As many of you know, I’m not exactly someone who keeps fit, so this is going to be a real challenge for me! 😂 But I’m determined to give it my best and push myself to achieve the target.

I’ll be taking on the challenge in support of SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society). It’s a charity that does incredibly important work supporting families affected by pregnancy and baby loss, and having a cause behind the challenge will hopefully keep me motivated and focused throughout the month.

I’ll be sharing updates on my progress along the way, the good, the bad and probably plenty of complaining! 😂

If you’re able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would be hugely appreciated and will help support a fantastic charity.

Thank you for your support — now I just need to get those trainers on! 👟🏃‍♂️❤️

Why?

Monday 10th Aug
I’m raising money for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society), a charity that provides vital support to parents and families who experience the unimaginable loss of a baby.
Losing a child is something no parent should ever have to face. Sadly, for some families, the excitement and love that comes with expecting a baby ends in heartbreak, and they are left trying to navigate a future they never imagined.
SANDS offers support, information and a safe space for bereaved parents and families, helping them through some of the darkest moments of their lives.
I’m hoping to raise as much as I can to help SANDS continue this incredibly important work. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who supports me, donates, shares the fundraiser or simply takes the time to read this. ❤️
