I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Myself and my wife have been unfortunate enough to experience an unsuccesful pregnancy / mis-carriage during covid times. It was one of the toughest times we had to face telling our 9year old daughter that she was no longer going to be big sister and seeing the trauma my wife had to go through at the time with covid laws preventing myself from being right by her side was truly hearybreaking!

Sands ensure that everyone affectd by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Saturday 12th Sep
7.4km smashed out today! Fully surprised myself! 35.8km left with 18 days remaining 💪

Friday 11th Sep
No run today. Work. Haircut. Presentation evening took over.. and tbh my hammys are very sore. Ive not ran for a long long time so almost 7k in 2 days is causing aches.

But we head into the weekend and There km's to be caught up on so ill be sure to get the running shoes on asap 💪

4.2km done today! 6.8km total! 20days left 💪

Wednesday 9th Sep
Got out today as promised in a narrow timeframe after work before doing the school run. Managed a little 2.6km run so 47.4km left to go!

Tuesday 8th Sep
So today, 8th september i recieved my pack! Ive got the t shirt. Ive got the paperwork. Weve got the donation page set up!

So the 50k in september has now become 50k in 23 days!

But its for a superb charity so im going to start making headway into my challenge as of tomorrow 9th september! 

My aim is to raise £200 for this charity by the end of the month! 🤞
