I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

For my birthday this year mia & I will be doing a 10k walk/jog/run in alfies name 🩵🩵

Alfie Deane, our precious angel.

Finding out we were pregnant was the most terrifying moment and the most amazing moment. Our whole life was about to change, but as weeks went on it was about to change in a whole different way to what it was meant to.

We lost Alfie at 27w3days gestation due to severe IGUR and placenta insufficiency. The worst day of our whole entire life. You were to beautiful for this world. 

On the 5th of February 2014 we had to say hello and goodbye. 💔 

Our local hospital Dorchester hospital who were amazing and we can't thank enough are fortunate to have been given always loved, never forgotten boxes which are presented to bereavemed parents. These are from the charity called SANDS UK. Complete with ink kits, clothing, teddy bears, information leaflets and more. 

We were not prepared at all and our box helped us so much. The thought that goes into each box is unreal.

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
