I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

Turning Grief Into Miles 👣👼🏼
Monday 9th MarWhy I’m Running for Sands:
April is going to be a month of running, but for me it’s about a lot more than miles. Walking, jogging and cycling in nature is one of the things that’s helped me get through.
I’ve signed up for the April Jogging Challenge to raise money for Sands, a charity that means a lot to me personally.
Over the past few years I’ve been through miscarriages and an IVF journey that has been incredibly difficult. It’s something that changes you in ways most people never see. There’s grief, hope, heartbreak, and the constant emotional rollercoaster that comes with trying to build a family.
One of the hardest parts was feeling like I was carrying that weight alone. Even when people are physically around you, the experience itself can be very isolating. That’s where Sands helped. They exist for people navigating loss, grief, and the unimaginable pain of losing a baby, and they provide support that truly matters when you’re at your lowest.
That’s why I wanted to do something that gives back.
Throughout April I’ll be jogging regularly and sharing the journey. Some days will be easier than others (I’m definitely not a professional runner!), but every mile is for a reason.
My goal is to raise £175 to support the work Sands does for parents and families who are going through loss and need somewhere to turn.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a lot. And if you can’t donate, sharing the page helps more than you might realise.
Thank you to anyone who supports this challenge and the cause behind it. Every step is for the babies who were loved long before they were ever held 👼🏼🪽
