I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Running Through Loss : Why This Charity Is Close To My Heart.
Thursday 9th AprThere are moments in life that quietly, but completely, change you. For me, that moment came with a missed miscarriage.
On the outside, everything seemed normal. There were no immediate signs, no warnings that something was wrong. But inside, time had already stopped. It’s a kind of loss that can feel confusing and isolating—grieving something so deeply while the world around you carries on as if nothing has changed.
In the days and weeks that followed, I found myself navigating emotions I wasn’t prepared for: shock, sadness, guilt, and a profound sense of emptiness. It’s not often talked about, and that silence can make the experience feel even lonelier.
That’s why this charity run is so important to me.
I’m running not just for myself, but for the baby I never got to meet. I’m running for others who have experienced pregnancy loss in any form—those who have grieved quietly, those who feel unseen, and those who are still finding their way through the pain.
This run is about more than distance or time. It’s about remembrance. It’s about breaking the silence around miscarriage and creating space for these stories to be heard. And it’s about supporting charities that provide comfort, guidance, and community to people going through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
Every step I take is in honor of a life that mattered.
