April Jogging Challenge

Honoring my daughter Luna Rose

I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for my daughter Luna Rose who we lost back in November 2025 at 26 weeks. She was diagnosed with pulmonary atresia with VSD as well as DiGeorge Syndrome. TFMR is one of the hardest decision we had to make and a decision we did not want to make in the first place. I want to do this challenge to help fund support for other parents out there that might find themselves in a similar position.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

We reached the distance goal! 🤭🥹

Saturday 21st Mar
The distance goal has been met and it's not even April yet! So I've decided to increase the distance goal to 100km.

I think this will be really achievable. I will take my time to recover next week and starting on the 1st of April, I will be purely concentrated on doing small jogs until I reach the goal. So watch this space!

However, I would just like to thank everyone that has donated and supported my thus far! I really appreciate you all and the money you have donated will go into a good cause.

Thanks for all your support 🫶🏽

We went for a walk in Farringdon. White Horse Hill and Ashdown House. We did 9miles today which made me hit my target for the fundraising. But since it is not April yet, I have increased my distance goal to 100km cos I underestimated how much I will be achieving 🤭 Please donate to my fundraiser https://fundraising.sands.org.uk/s/73325/78896/i Anyway, enjoy this video that I made of the day ✌🏽 #jogforsands #babyloss #bereavement #sandscharity #grief

Thank you so much!

Wednesday 18th Mar
Guys and gals, we have supassed the initial money goal! I'm honestly very greatful to each and every one of you that donated. To be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to meet the goal in the first place. I have increased the fundraising goal now, I mean this money will go towards such a good cause.

You have no idea the help that this charity gives. I have personally used some of their services, especially during my bereavement process and I can say that it has helped me a lot.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your support whether we know each other, or you're just a stranger that came across my fundraiser page! I appreciate your kindness 🩷

I'm 2 weeks early to the game but I'm doing the April Jog Challenge for Sands Charity. Last year May 2025 I found out I was pregnant. I was going to have a beautiful baby girl and she was named Luna Rose. Sadly, she was not fit for life and she passed away on November 2025. Sands have been extremely helpful with my bereavement process so this charity is really close to my heart. If you can donate even the smallest amount, it can help other families that have and/or are going though the same tragedy. https://fundraising.sands.org.uk/s/73325/78896/i #fyp #sandscharity #jogforsands #babyloss #babylosssupport

Why I decided to start the 45k challenge

Monday 16th Mar
I am quite excited and nervous around doing this challenge. However, I recently started a health journey of being more active and practicing a more healthy lifestyle. The main reason I'm doing this challenge is because I lost my baby girl Luna Rose back in November 2025 and I have received support from Sands in dealing with the bereavement process as well as providing more information as my partner and I made the decision.

We TFMR with our daughter due to the rare heart defect she had as well as a rare genetic defect they have found. It was one of the hardest decisions we had to make and an incredibly heartbreaking one. None of it was out fault, she developed the mutation at the very beginning of when she was formed in the womb. There was nothing either if us have or could have done to make the situation any better.

Following the loss, we have had many discussions regarding trying again. One of the main ones we have decided was to make sure we were both physically and mentally healthy before doing so. This challenge was just another motivation to the direction I want to take my physical health to and what more can motivate you to start jogging than an actual goal you have towards to? I chose Sands as it is a charity that is close to my heart. I would like to contribute to helping other families in similar situations that are seeking support.

So, thank you so much for donating, it means a lot to me as well as the thousands of families that this will help towards.

I’m so proud to support my daughter as she takes on this meaningful jog for SANDS, in loving memory of her beautiful daughter who sadly passed away. She’s doing this to honour her little one and to help raise awareness and support for other families who have experienced baby loss. It’s a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts. If you’re able to support, share, or donate, it would mean so much. Every bit helps make a difference for families who need care, understanding, and support during the most difficult times. We are so proud of you ate Abby and the love you continue to show for your daughter. 💗
