2026 Ribbon Run Manchester

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Saturday 10 October 2026. I am taking part for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Walking for Clementina & Rosabella Chiara | Supporting Sands

Sunday 2nd Aug
My Story
Thank you for visiting our page.

This October, I am taking part in the Ribbon Run to raise awareness for baby loss and to support Sands (the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society).

We will be walking every step in loving memory of two precious babies in our family who were born sleeping, but who are fiercely loved and will never be forgotten:
Clementina – Born sleeping 33 years ago at 22 weeks. My firstborn daughter, whose place in my heart is as strong today as it was then.
Rosabella Chiara – Born sleeping in July 2026 at 18+4 weeks. Our precious granddaughter, born to my youngest daughter and her husband.

Though 33 years separate their births, they are bound together in our family's hearts forever.
Why We Are Walking
Losing a baby is a profound and overwhelming heartbreak, no matter how many years pass. By taking part in the Ribbon Run, we want to:
Break the silence and promote open awareness around baby loss.
Ensure no parent grieves alone by raising vital funds for Sands' support services.
Honor our little angels, Clementina and Rosabella Chiara, by turning our sadness into hope and support for others going through a similar journey.
Because of mobility, Iwe will be taking this on as a walk—taking each step with purpose, love, and remembrance.

How Your Donation Helps
Sands does incredible work supporting bereaved parents and families, improving bereavement care in hospitals, and funding research to save babies' lives.
Any donation, big or small, means the world to us and helps ensure help is always there for families when they need it most.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, thoughts, and support. 💗
