On Saturday 11th October at 10:30am, we will be taking part in a charity walk at Middlesbrough Cricket Club in support of Sands.

We’re doing this not only to remember our beautiful son Noah, but also to remember every baby who is gone too soon and to support the parents and families who have experienced the heartbreak of baby loss.

Baby loss can feel incredibly lonely. The sleepless nights, the tears, the anxiety, the sickness, the feeling that nobody truly understands. We want people to know that they are not alone. There are charities, support groups, and people who care and understand what families are going through.

Our precious baby Noah came into this world crying at 25 weeks and 5 days on 12th April 2026. It was the best day of our lives. After spending four weeks in hospital during the pregnancy, we had been told there was a very real possibility that we might never get to meet our son due to a number of serious complications, including severe growth restriction and pre-eclampsia.

Despite every challenge placed in front of him, Noah fought with incredible strength for 12 precious days. Throughout every moment, my wife and I were by his side.

Sadly, Noah’s battle became too much, and we had to make the most heartbreaking decision any parent could ever face. We chose to let our little boy rest peacefully. No more fighting. No more struggle. No more pain.

The days that followed were the hardest days of our lives.

During that time, Sands provided support and kindness that we will never forget. They gave us a Sweet Dream Box, allowing us to listen to Noah’s heartbeat whenever we need to feel close to him. They also provided precious keepsakes, including jewellery containing Noah’s footprints, which my wife treasures every day.

Those gifts may seem small to some, but to grieving parents they mean everything. They give comfort on the darkest days and create memories that can be held onto forever.

This is why we have chosen to support Sands.

We are walking for Noah.

We are walking for every baby gone too soon.

We are walking for every parent who has experienced this heartbreak.

And we are walking to raise awareness so that no family feels alone.
