I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Why I’m doing this

Thursday 30th Apr
Hi, I’m Adam, and I’m raising money for Sands by running further than I’ve ever run before. I’m not much of a runner, so ‘only a mile a day’ isnt going to be easy. But it’ll do me, and those who need Sands’ support, some good. 
This means so much to me because my wife Jordan and I are desperate to have kids, and haven’t had the easiest road to get there. In 2025 we had a miscarriage and it was the hardest moment of our lives. We didn’t make use of the support Sands offer, but we wish we had, and we know we’d have needed it if we didn’t have such a supportive network of friends and family around us, as many in the UK don’t. 
If getting off the sofa might help someone else feel a little less lost in those moments then it’s the least I can do. I’ll post updates through the month, please give all you can, thank you!
