An introduction to Little Stars by the Sea

Hi, I’m Danni, and I’m the person behind Little Stars by the Sea.

On 6th October 2025, my world changed forever. After giving birth to my beautiful twins, my little boy Jude spent just 12 precious days fighting in NICU. He was so incredibly small, but he made an impact on my heart that will last a lifetime. On that day, I had to say goodbye to my son.

There are no words that can truly explain what it is like to lose your baby. Jude should be here. He should be growing up alongside his twin sister, making memories, causing mischief and being part of our family in all the ways I imagined. Instead, I carry him with me in my heart every single day.

I wanted to create something beautiful in his memory, something that brings people together rather than leaving families to grieve alone.

So, on 27th November 2026, I’m bringing you Little Stars by the Sea a 5km starlight walk along Southend seafront, starting at the pier and ending back at the pier.

We will walk together under the stars, carrying lanterns to light our way and remembering all of the precious babies who should be here but aren’t. Every little light will represent a little life, a little love and a baby who will never be forgotten. ✨

This walk isn’t just for Jude. It is for every baby lost, every family who has had to leave hospital with empty arms, every parent who carries an invisible heartbreak, and every little star shining above us.
