We're running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

In May 2011 Twins William & George were born sleeping 13/05/11. William and George had a condition called Twin to Twin transfusion syndrome & heartbreakingly nothing could be done to save them. The aftercare at the hospital was almost non-existent which meant that William & George’s parents (Jonny & Gem) were left to deal (or not) with this heartbreak alone. They didn’t know about Sands then. If they did their story would have been different. Sands support families that face this kind of heartbreak & we want to make sure this continues. 

A note from Gem : I am running to raise money to help families like ours get the support they deserve. I’ve never felt so alone before (or since) in my entire life. I can’t change my story but hopefully we can help other people. 

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
