I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

First ever parkrun
Saturday 27th Sep Technically my second, as I did one unrecorded in January 2020. A few days later and China started reporting an unusual respiratory virus affecting patients…. Needless to say, my running fairly swiftly dropped off.
Second run done
Sunday 21st Sep Another very slow 5 km in the bag. This one was accompanied by a very enthusiastic three-year-old… Well enthusiastic for the first 10 m anyway! Following that she basically had to be dragged along and eventually into the buggy. Pushing 20 kg of toddler along while while trying to run is no joke, but I’m very grateful to be able to run with both of my healthy babies.
