I'm hosting a Sands Starlight Walk in Grantham, Lincolnshire

I’m hosting & taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk in Grantham, Lincolnshire to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.

Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Sands continue this vital work—offering hope, understanding and support, and creating a lasting legacy in memory of every baby who has died.

Starlight Walk brings people together under the night sky to remember, reflect and walk in honour of their babies, while raising funds for Sands. If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:
http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk. Events take place across the UK, or you can walk virtually wherever you are.

On the darkest nights, the stars shine brightest, including my beautiful two boys, Ezrah and Theodore!

Thank you for helping keep that light shining.

🌟 Starlight Walk — Baby Loss Awareness Week 🌟

Sunday 27th Sep
This year, I will be hosting the Sands - baby loss charity Starlight Walk here in Grantham in memory of my two little angels - Ezrah, who received his wings at 12 weeks in December 2017, and Theodore, who was born at 24 weeks in January 2021 and spent 11 precious minutes with us before joining his brother in heaven.
Nothing like this exists locally, and I know how isolating baby loss can feel. I’m organising this walk to honour my boys, to show other parents that they are not alone, and to celebrate and remember each precious baby who is loved and missed.
The walk will start in Wyndham Park at 5:30pm on 14 October.
I will have a few paper lanterns and LED lights to share out, but feel free to bring your own. We will then gently walk to the Guildhall Green where we'll take a short pause, before arriving at St Wulfram's Grantham in time for the Service of Remembrance at 6:30pm (see attached poster).
It’s free to join, gentle, and open to anyone who wishes to walk in memory of a baby or simply to stand alongside those who have experienced loss.
If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to message me.
If you would like to support the walk from a distance, you can donate here: https://fundraising.sands.org.uk/s/10132/97885
Attached is the exact route (which is accessible throughout) and the Service poster.
For our babies — always loved, never forgotten. 🌟 🩵 💙 🌟
