Penguin At Work Fundraiser
Monday 27th Apr
There are moments in life that shape us quietly but profoundly moments that turn love into action. This fundraiser is one of those moments.
I’ve chosen to support Sands, a charity that provides vital support to anyone affected by the death of a baby.
Their work reaches families during unimaginable grief, offering bereavement support, resources, and a compassionate community for those navigating loss.
They also work to improve care and raise awareness, helping to reduce the number of baby deaths in the future. It’s a cause rooted in empathy, dignity, and hope.
To do my part, I’ll be taking on a small but meaningful challenge, working three 8-hour shifts dressed in a penguin onesie.
It might sound lighthearted on the surface, and in many ways it is meant to bring smiles and spark conversations, but behind it sits a very real purpose: to raise awareness and funds for a charity that makes a genuine difference in people’s lives.
The goal is to raise £400. Every donation, no matter the size, contributes to the support Sands can continue to provide to families who need it most. It’s about turning kindness into impact, and using something as simple as a costume and a bit of determination to create something positive.
This journey isn’t just about fundraising. it’s about remembering, supporting, and standing alongside others with compassion. If this effort encourages even one conversation, one act of kindness, or one contribution toward helping a grieving family feel less alone, then it will have been worth every hour.
Thank you for taking your time to read this, and being part of this with me.🙏🏻🤍🪽
