I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for Sands.
This physical change has surfaced long-held grief from a loss I experienced at age 34 - one carried largely alone - followed by an autoimmune diagnosis that now shapes my daily life.
Training has been my anchor. That’s why I’m running 2km every day in February for Sands: to honour my loss, celebrate the life I have now - and to continue moving forward while living with chronic illness.
Most importantly, this is about raising awareness of miscarriage, pregnancy & baby loss and the vital need for compassionate aftercare - the support I so deeply missed.
Supporting me is my husband G, my Coach Ritchie and my gym community & friends - embodying the village that once felt absent when I needed it most.
And for those joining me for a run ...I'll be posting pictures of us everyday on insta ...for fun!
