I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

100km for our precious Jude 💙

On 4 June 2026, our family experienced a heartbreak we never could have imagined. Our beautiful grandson, Jude, was born sleeping.

We had dreams for him. We imagined holding him, watching him grow, hearing his laugh, and making all those precious family memories that we had looked forward to. Instead, we had to say goodbye far too soon, before we had the chance to make any of them.

There are no words big enough to describe the emptiness Jude has left behind. He may have only been with us for a very short time, but he will forever be a huge part of our family. He is loved beyond words and will never, ever be forgotten.

So, throughout September, I will be walking 100km in Jude’s memory. Every step will be for our precious grandson — a little boy who should be here, making memories with us, but whose memory we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

I’m raising money for Sands, a charity that supports families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby. Having support during such an unbearable time can make a difference when you feel completely lost, and I want to help Sands continue to be there for other families who find themselves facing the same unimaginable pain.

This challenge will undoubtedly be emotional and difficult, but knowing that every kilometre is being walked for Jude will keep me going.
