I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

We sadly lost our beautiful daughter, Flora-Jade on 11th August 2025 and our world was ripped apart. During this awful time, Sands were there for us, giving us support and helping us navigate through our grief. As a way to say thank you to them and to honour Flora-Jade’s memory, we are looking to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity. 

In case you’re not sure exactly what Sand’s does, below is an overview of just a snippet of what they do:

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. 

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Huge thank you to those of you who have donated so far, we are so grateful.
Every penny donated is going directly to Sand’s who can continue with the wonderful work and support they provide.

So it begins

Our whole world fell apart when Flora-Jade was born sleeping. Sands have been there for us right from the word go with lots of support and help and we want to do something constructive and give back to them in Flora-Jade’s memory.
Although I expect this to be pretty hard going, I plan to train (slowly) in the gym in prep for this. Updates will follow
