2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Why I’m walking 100k in September

Tuesday 18th Aug

In September, I’m taking on a challenge that is going to mean so much more to me than simply putting one foot in front of the other.

I’m going to walk 100 kilometres throughout September in memory of babies who have lost their lives, and to show my support for the families who have had to experience the unimaginable pain of losing a baby.

There are some losses that words can never truly describe. Losing a baby is something no parent should ever have to go through, and yet so many families quietly carry that heartbreak every single day.

I wanted to do something meaningful to remember those precious little lives. Every kilometre I walk will be for a baby who should have had the chance to grow, laugh, be loved and experience life. Every step will also be for the parents, siblings and families left behind, who continue to carry their love and their loss.

100K is going to be a challenge for me. There will undoubtedly be days when I’m tired, when my feet hurt, or when I don’t feel like going out for another walk. But when those moments come, I’ll remind myself why I started.

I’m walking because these babies matter.
I’m walking because their lives deserve to be remembered.
I’m walking because their families deserve to know they are not alone.
And I’m walking because sometimes, even when we can’t take away someone’s pain, we can show them that we care.

Throughout September, I’ll be sharing my journey, the good days and the difficult ones, and hopefully raising awareness and support along the way.

If you’d like to follow my journey, share my posts, encourage me, or support the cause, it would mean more than you know.

100K. One month. So many little lives to remember. ❤️
