2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

Baby loss (whether it’s via miscarriage, stillbirth, or after birth) is devastating, but in my South Asian culture, these are taboo topics and often met with shame and silence. Generations of women (and men) to this day have navigated this pain alone, without permission to speak or mourn openly. They feel they cannot seek support within their own community or seek professional support to navigate the loss.

I believe it’s time to change this.

I’m walking 100km this September for Sands to stand with the people in my community who have suffered in silence. I’m walking to show that we can speak about this, that their babies matter, and that they are not alone.

Sands supports anyone who has experienced baby loss, and they also provide tailored support specifically for Black and South Asian families. They provide bereavement training to all sorts of professionals eg healthcare staff and police officers. They also do a lot of work in politics to help create better policies to improve maternity services and save babies’ lives.

Please help me raise funds for Sands and give a voice to the grieving families. Thank you for your generosity.

Jazakumullahu Khairan (may god reward you all with goodness)
