For Robyn, Always

This fundraiser is in memory of our daughter, Robyn, who was born after I went into labour 3 months early with PPROM and a placental abruption. 

Robyn’s life was heartbreakingly short, but she was deeply wanted, profoundly loved, and she changed everything. She made us parents.

In the grief that followed leaving hospital without her, I began writing poetry as a way to process what felt impossible to hold. Those poems became a book — written from love, grief, and survival — in Robyn’s memory.

We are raising money in her honour for Sands, who provide vital support to anyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss. They offer counselling and peer support, train healthcare professionals, and fund research so that fewer families have to experience this kind of heartbreak.
