Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Navigating life after losing a baby is a journey no parent expects to take. When we experienced the loss of Kate Ora, our world changed completely. In those darkest moments, you can feel lost and alone. Finding the right support and a safe space to talk about our grief can mean everything.
That is why I am sharing our story and raising funds for Sands (Stillbirth and neonatal death charity), an organization that provides vital support to bereaved families and works tirelessly to save babies' lives.
