I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk
I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.
Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.

From Loss to Love: My SANDS Starlight Walk
Friday 2nd OctThis year has changed my life in ways I never imagined.
In March, I lost my baby following an ectopic pregnancy. It’s a loss that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and one that has changed me in ways I’m still learning to understand.
That’s why I’ve decided to take part in the SANDS Starlight Walk.
SANDS is a charity that I will forever hold close to my heart. They support families through some of the darkest and most heartbreaking moments imaginable — when a baby dies and the future you had pictured suddenly changes.
Taking part in this walk is my way of remembering my baby, raising awareness of baby loss, and helping other families who may find themselves facing the same unimaginable pain.
There are no words that can make baby loss okay, but knowing that there is a charity out there offering support, understanding and a safe place for people to grieve means more than I can explain.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me. 💙
