I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My Updates

Completed it!

Saturday 28th Feb
I have now completed the challenge and done about 67k this month. There is still time to donate, every little bit helps. Thank you to those who have cheered me on and donated so far ❤️

Hitting my distance target!

Tuesday 24th Feb
4 days left of this challenge and I’ve hit my distance target of 56k! I’ll still continue until Saturday- the last day of the challenge. This means a lot to me and I’m pretty chuffed I’ve got this far, please do help to show your support 😊

Late night 2k!

Friday 20th Feb
So it’s al or midnight, I finally got into bed after a busy day and panicked as I hadn’t had time to do my 2k (though I most likely did it in walking!) so I got back out of bed to make sure I did it. Please cheer me along and support me x

5k done so far!

Monday 2nd Feb
I’ve done 5k so far in the last couple of days- a lot more to go! Doing this for all the Angel babies and those have experienced baby loss at any stage. I was early on in pregnancy when I had a miscarriage in 2018, I never got any support (other than from family and friends) and it just got forgotten about all too quickly. People don’t always seem to understand and it always stays with you. Always wondering what could have been. I’d really appreciate the support in spreading the word about this charity and raising money. In the hope at others don’t feel lost and unsupported in such a hard time x

First 2k run done!

Sunday 1st Feb
I’ve just done over 2k on the cross trainer for day one of the challenge! Please help to support me in this challenge for such an important charity x

My Story

Saturday 31st Jan
Please do support me in this challenge, this charity is one of many close to my heart. In August 2018, I found out I was pregnant with my second child. I was over the moon, until the day I realised something wasn’t right. The dr had told me matter of factly that I was probably having a miscarriage and to go home. Then after a horrific evening, I ended up in A&E, sat waiting while I was losing my baby. The next day I went back into hospital for a scan that confirmed my baby wasn’t there. Then that was that, I went home. I was lucky to have the love and support from my family and friends, but that was the only support I got. It doesn’t matter what stage of pregnancy you’re at, it’s heartbreaking. Yet, it got lost. Like it didn’t matter. Every year I remember my little ‘Pip’. I am very lucky to have had a healthy baby after this and now have two amazing children. But I will always wonder about what could have been. And that more should have happened to help me through that time. And for everyone else who has gone through it ❤️
