I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Hi All, 

Quick note to say a massive thank you to all that have donated so far. I completed my target distance of 56km and went a little further having ran a 5km and a couple of other longer runs. 68km in total. Injury in the middle of Feb made this a bigger challenge but I still got out and ran for a great cause. 

Since I started this journey, and I am talking about the very beginning when trying to extend our family and suffering our first loss, we have had support from unexpected places. And during this challenge, many of you  that have donated have suffered loss like we have. It is a lot more common than you think. So why don't we talk about it?

Miscarriage and Baby loss lasts the lifetime that was not meant to be. Always wondering was it a boy or girl, how they would look, what would they be. Its important to seek the help you need WHEN you need it, not if. Sands can help and your donations ensure this continues.

Monday 19th Jan
Not many people know, but Bex and I have suffered multiple miscarriages in the last few years. This fundraiser popped up, and I’m going to complete it. 

Any donations would be very welcome to Sands to support those who have suffered a loss, whether it’s during early pregnancy like we have, or having made it further or losing a baby.
