I’m swimming in November for families facing baby loss
My pledge for baby loss awareness week in 2026 is to swim 10k accumulatively during November for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
As many of you know I am 8 months postpartum and have three little girls under 5. Whilst the 10k distance is hopefully achievable; the time sacrifice will also be a huge challenge - and one I am committed to, with every kick and every breath 🤍
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change and provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals so that fewer babies die and fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
Please do not engage with this challenge just because it’s happened to you, but engage with it because it hasn’t.
