I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
💗 Rory & Eira’s 10K Sands Ribbon Run for Fern 💗
Rory (8) and Eira (5) have decided to take on a 10K walk for the Sands Ribbon Run, which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October).
They are doing it in honour of their big sister, Fern, and in memory of every precious baby who is sadly not here today. 🩷
On Saturday 10th October, they’ll be putting on their trainers and walking 10K to raise money for Sands, a charity that means so much to our family.
Sands supports families facing the unimaginable pain of losing a baby, making sure they don’t have to face such a devastating time alone. Having been supported by Sands ourselves, we know first-hand just how important their work is and how much their support can mean to a family when they need it most.
Sands also campaign for change, provide training and support to midwives and healthcare professionals, and fund research to help prevent babies from dying and reduce the number of families who have to experience the heartbreak of baby loss.
If you’re able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to Rory, Eira and our family. Every donation will help Sands continue to support families like ours. 💗
To give you an idea of what your donation could help provide:
🌸 £20 could provide a bereaved family with a memory box, helping them create and safely keep precious memories of their baby.
🌸 £35 could help answer a call from someone reaching out for support after pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
🌸 £100 could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer, helping healthcare professionals access vital training, guidance and support.
