This September (and what’s left of August) I’m walking/running 100K to raise for every much loved baby, sadly not here today. Sands is the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity and ensures that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so less babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.

While I’ve been fortunate never to endure the heartbreak of losing a baby, the birth of my twin daughters brought us frighteningly close. A s a parent of three beautiful children, I cannot begin to imagine that level of grief. My own experience was a sharp reminder of just how fragile and precious life truly is.

I’m doing this to raise as much money and awareness as I possibly can for Sands and the families who need their support. I’m also doing it for myself, to get fitter and make sure I’m around and healthy enough to make the most of the time I have with my children.

If anyone is able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would genuinely mean so much to me.
