4th Sands Ribbon Run completed, always for Henry

For the 4th year running, I’ve completed the Sands Ribbon Run, keeping Henry’s memory alive with every step. 

Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of everyone who has sponsored me, we’ve raised over £500 this year.

That money is enough for Sands to provide 20 memory boxes to families facing the unimaginable heartbreak of losing their precious baby.

We know first-hand just how much these boxes mean. Our memory box holds some of the most precious things we’ll ever own, including Henry’s tiny handprints. Something so small, yet something we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives. 

Knowing that 20 other families may receive that same little bit of comfort, and have somewhere to keep their baby’s precious memories, means more than I could ever put into words.

This year we’ll be taking part in the Sands Ribbon Run for the fourth year, in memory of our beautiful baby boy, Henry Robin Ian Gibson. 

Four years of carrying Henry with us in everything we do. Four years of saying his name, remembering him, loving him and making sure his memory continues to live on.

Sands is an incredibly important charity for the baby loss community. When a family experiences the devastating loss of a baby, having somewhere to turn where people truly understand can mean so much. Sands provides vital support to bereaved parents and families, helps improve the care families receive, and works towards a future where fewer babies die.

Every step we take will be for Henry, while also helping Sands continue their incredible work supporting families affected by baby loss.
