Our Baby Girl Isabella
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
On 30th September 2021 at 5.50am our baby girl was born sleeping, our whole world was completely shattered losing Isabella and going through labour knowing we wouldn't be leaving the hospital with our baby girl. Not being able to bring her home to meet her two older brothers will always be the hardest thing we will every experience. Sands helped and supported us after we lost our baby girl, we got to spend time with Isabella after she was born, she was able to stay in the room with us using a unit with freezer block inside it, she was lying in a moses basket which sat on top on the freezer unit it was so special we got that time with her, we was also giving a box full of keep sakes and helpful book how to explain Isabella lost to our boys and helpful support groups with other families going through the same lost.
The support we got from all the midwifes and consultants was amazing and we couldn't thank them enough for helping us with everything we was going though at this hard time.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
