I’m running 2k a day in January for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to running 2k a day this January for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Day 7

Wednesday 7th Jan
Day 7 of running 2K every day in January for Sands - baby loss charity 💟✅️

I bloody did it! 💪🏼 VERY slow, but I managed to run the whole 2K without walking at any point.  This may seem easy for most, but I honestly hate every step I take when running.  🏃‍♀️😱

I am so overwhelmed with the kindness and support shown by everyone. Thank you so much!

Why are we doing this?

Wednesday 31st Dec
Ben Wilde and I, two people who genuinely hate running, are committing to running 2k every day in January to raise money for Sands, the baby loss charity.

On September 29th, our pregnancy with our baby girl Daisy ended. The care we received at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and from our genetic specialists was incredible, but what’s missing is proactive aftercare and ongoing support. Charities like Sands and TFMR Mamas try to fill that gap for so many families.

If we can raise even a small amount, it’s a way to turn our loss into something that helps others. 💟🌼
