2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My story

Saturday 8th Aug
I have a 5 year old daughter but have battled pcos all my adult life after fighting for diagnosis.
4 years of secondary infertility (the gps diagnosis) I finally got pregnant but had silent miscarriage (missed miscarriage is another name) where baby had passed at five weeks but didn’t pass through for another 8 weeks.
I want to raise awareness that not all losses are the same and no matter at how many weeks the loss is still as great and felt as deeply.
I had never heard of a silent (missed) miscarriage and thought that I was just earlier than I realised but the reality of carrying a baby for 2 months after their death because my body didn’t recognise the losswas far more difficult than I thought.
I am here to offer support, motivation and hope to the people that don’t have the typical miscarriage or fertility journey because I’m still trying for my perfect family abd whatever I end up with is my path in life !
