2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Wednesday 26th Aug
I’m so excited my fundraiser for Sands is officially live! With the first few donations  already in
Sands does incredible, vital work supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, while also funding research to help save babies' lives. It’s a cause that means a great deal to me, and I’m so ready to throw everything into this challenge.
Whether you’re able to donate a few pounds, share this page with your friends, or just leave a message of encouragement, it means the absolute world. Every bit of support helps ensure no one has to face the loss of a baby alone.
Thank you so much to everyone who has already cheered me on. Let’s do this!

My Story: 100k in September for Sands 30 Days. 100 Kilometres. 1 Vital Cause.

Tuesday 11th Aug

This September, I am taking on the challenge to complete 100 kilometres across the month to raise vital funds and awareness for Sands, the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity.
That’s over 3 kilometres every single day for 30 days—rain or shine. While 100k will be a tough physical and mental commitment, it is nothing compared to the heartache felt by families who face the loss of a baby.
Why I am taking on this challenge
Every single day in the UK, 13 babies are born still or pass away shortly after birth. Behind each statistic is a family left heartbroken and navigating unimaginable grief.
I am taking on these 100 kilometres in precious memory of Rowan Martyn  our sweet baby who was born sleeping on 17/726.
Sands was a beacon of light for our family during our darkest days—providing gentle support, guidance, and the precious Memory Box that we hold so close to our hearts.
Sands relies almost entirely on voluntary donations to carry out their essential work across three core pillars:
Supporting Bereaved Families: Funding free national helplines, support apps, local groups, and hospital Memory Boxes for newly bereaved parents.
Saving Babies' Lives: Investing in pioneering medical research to identify causes of stillbirth and neonatal death.
Improving Care: Educating healthcare professionals and campaigning for safer maternity services across the UK.
Follow My Journey

I’ll be logging every kilometre throughout September and posting regular progress updates, route photos, and distance tracking right here on this page.
If you are able to donate—whether it's £5, £10, or £20—your support will keep my feet moving and mean the world to families who need Sands most.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box! It adds an extra 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and generosity!
