Walking 100K for Sands this September – Because Every Baby Deserves a Chance
This year, I'm taking on the 100K Walk challenge to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.
Sands exists to make sure that anyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve, and to campaign for change and fund research so that fewer families ever have to face this heartbreak.
I have a two-year-old daughter, and becoming her mum changed everything for me. I honestly cannot imagine my world without her in it — the thought alone is unbearable but for so many parents, that unimaginable loss is their reality. Every day, families go through the devastation of losing a baby, and too often they're left to navigate that grief without the support they need.
That's why I want to do something. 100K is a big challenge, but it's nothing compared to what these families carry every day. Every mile I walk, I'll be thinking of the babies who are no longer here and the parents who love and miss them.
Any donation, big or small, will help Sands continue their vital work — supporting bereaved families, training healthcare professionals, and funding research to help prevent future loss.
