🥰❤️🥰❤️ walking 100k in September

In September, I’ll be taking on the SANDS 100K challenge.

For me, this isn’t just about walking 100 kilometres. It’s about raising awareness and supporting a charity that means a huge amount to sadly so many families.

I know the heartbreak, the emptiness and how difficult it can be to find the right words when something so unimaginable happens.

I’m walking because no family should have to feel alone in that experience.

SANDS provides support to parents, families and anyone affected by the death of a baby. Sometimes knowing that someone understands can make such a difference or even just knowing there is help there.

So, over the course of September, I’ll be putting one foot in front of the other and taking on 100K.

There will probably be days when my legs are aching and I wonder why I signed up for it! But every kilometre will have a purpose. I’ll be thinking of Beau, of the families who have experienced the same loss, and of the families who may need SANDS in the future.

If taking on this challenge can help SANDS continue to be there for even one family at the moment they need it most, then every step will be worth it.

So here’s to 100K, plenty of walking, probably a few blisters, and hopefully raising as much as possible for a charity that does such important work.

For Beau, and for all the babies who are loved and remembered every single day. ❤️
