2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Why I’m Taking on the 100k Walk for Sands

Thursday 13th Aug
I never imagined that I would have to find the words to explain what it feels like to lose a baby.

But I have lost five.

Five little lives that I carried, loved and dreamed about. Five pregnancies that ended in heartbreak, leaving behind a grief that can be difficult to explain to anyone who hasn’t experienced it.

Miscarriage can be an incredibly lonely kind of loss. The world keeps moving, while you feel as though yours has stopped. There are dates you remember, milestones you never reached and questions that may never have answers. And sometimes, there is simply the quiet pain of missing someone who was here, even if only for a short time.

That is why I have decided to take on the 100k walk for Sands.

This challenge is going to be physically and emotionally tough, but I want every step to have a purpose. I want to walk in memory of my five babies. I want to carry their memory with me and turn some of my pain into something that can help others.

Sands supports people who have been affected by the death of a baby, helping families through some of the darkest moments of their lives. Their work matters enormously to people like me, because no one should have to navigate this kind of loss feeling completely alone.

So, as I take on those 100 kilometres, I will be thinking of my five babies with every step.

For the babies I never got to hold.
For the memories I never got to make.
For the hopes and dreams that never had the chance to become reality.
And for every other parent who has experienced the devastating loss of a baby.

This walk is for them.

It is my way of remembering, honouring and keeping my babies’ memories alive, while raising money for a charity that supports others through unimaginable grief.

Five babies. One journey. 100 kilometres.

I’m doing this for my babies, and for every family who has ever had to say goodbye far too soon.

If you are able to support me, whether through a donation, sharing my challenge, or simply walking a little way with me in spirit, I would be incredibly grateful.

Every step will be for them. ❤️
