I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Martha Mae Hancock
Thursday 21st Aug On 1st January 2023, our hearts were shattered when we lost our precious baby girl, Martha Mae. She was so deeply loved and will forever be a part of us. Not a day passes that we don’t think of her, wish for her, and carry her in our hearts. To honour Martha’s memory, myself, her Nanny Leanne and her Auntie Emily will be walking 100km throughout September. We are doing this for her, and for every family who has had to say goodbye far too soon. Sands has been a lifeline for so many, offering support, compassion, and hope in the darkest of times, and we want to give back so that other families never feel alone in their grief.
