I’m running 2k a day in Febuary for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 2k a day this February for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

My Updates
2 babies after 1 loss.
Sunday 18th Jan Hi I’m Olivia. I’m 5 month post partum with my 2nd baby girl. I also have a 2 and a half year old. My eldest is called Isla and my youngest is Mabel. This year I have started the couch25k. After having 2 children, loosing my identity and completely neglecting my body I want to start making small sustainable changes to improve my lifestyle and over all health. This challenge seemed perfect for me as it’s a charity that has personally helps me so much. In July 2022 I unfortunately had a late miscarriage. For anyone who doesn’t know what that is it basically means a miscarriage after 12 weeks. My baby boys heart stopped beating at 15 weeks but I didn’t find out until my 17 week midwife appointment when the midwife couldn’t find baby boys heart beat. I went straight to hospital. they confirmed my worst nightmare, baby was no longer alive inside my tummy. It was the worst feeling in the whole world but equally in that moment I already knew. The confirmation just made it a reality. Everything after this was such a blur but a name that sticks out to me is the name Bev. She worked (not sure if she still does) at Airedale Hospital. She broke everything down to me and explained every fine detail so perfectly when me and my partner felt extremely vulnerable. After this loss getting pregnant again was scary. We didn’t tell people untill the 20 week mark because I was petrified of it happening again! The sands team rang me countless times though my second pregnancy just to check in and see how I was. They also helped me with a Birth preference that helped me have things in place to make sure nothing was triggering while I was in the hospital. For example if I didn’t want to see a certain midwife, a certain room et cetera. In my case my due date with Isla was a week before the anniversary of loosing baby boy. I opted for an induction to ensure Isla didn’t come on the anniversary.Thank you to my Sponsors
