I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Sunday 9th AugHi everyone 💖
On 9th October I’ll be taking on the 15K Sands Run for the most important reason I could ever have for my beautiful little princess, Aaliyah 👣💖
I never imagined that my pregnancy would end the way it did I sadly had to give birth to my precious baby girl at just 23 weeks on the 15/08/2025 She was so incredibly poorly and in the end, I had to face the one thing no parent should ever have to face saying goodbye to their baby 💖
At 23 weeks, I should have been imagining her growing bigger, choosing her clothes, dreaming about the life we were going to have together!! Holding her hand through this world 💖
There are no words to describe what it feels like to carry your baby inside you, love them with every part of your heart and then have to leave the hospital without them!! Aaliyah was here for such a short time but she changed my life forever She made me a mum and nothing will ever change that💖 losing her on the day apart of me went with her and I’ll never be able to get that back but all I can do now is make her proud and carry her with me in my heart 💖
So I’m doing these 15 kilometres for my little girl Every single step will be for you
For the 23 weeks I carried you
For the life you deserved
For the memories we never got to make
For the love that will never disappear. And for every baby and every family who has had to experience the heartbreak of baby loss 🕊️💖
This isn’t just a run for me It’s something I can do to make sure my little girl’s name continues to be spoken, remembered and loved!! Aaliyah, Mummy will carry you with her every step of the way 👣💖 You may not be here in my arms but you will forever be here in my heart I will love you for every second of every day, for the rest of my life 💖 forever and always my beautiful princess 👣💖
