2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Thirteen years ago, I experienced a loss that changed a part of me forever — I lost my baby boy.

Although 13 years have passed, you never forget. Life carries on, the years pass and you learn to live alongside the loss, but there will always be a little piece of your heart that belongs to the baby you never got the chance to watch grow up.

This September, I wanted to do something meaningful in his memory, so I’ve decided to take on the 100km in September challenge for Sands.

Sands supports anyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss, as well as working to improve maternity safety and save babies’ lives. It's a charity that means so much to families who have experienced a loss like mine.

So throughout September, I’ll be putting one foot in front of the other and walking 100km. 👣

Every kilometre will be for my baby boy, for the 13 years I’ve carried him in my heart, and for every parent who knows what it feels like to leave hospital without the baby they dreamed of bringing home.

Some people may never have known this part of my story because it's something I don't often talk about. But this September, I’m walking for him. 💙

100km. One month. One very special reason.

Always loved. Always remembered. Always part of me. 🕊️💙
