I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Why I’m Walking 100k Steps for SANDS
Sunday 16th AugLosing a sibling changes your life in ways that are difficult to put into words. It can leave a huge sense of sadness and emptiness, and it affects not only the person experiencing the loss, but the whole family.
For parents, losing a child is an unimaginable pain. As a sibling, you can find yourself grieving while also watching your parents go through something no parent should ever have to face. Everyone copes differently, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve.
That’s why, throughout September, I’ll be walking 100k to raise money for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society).
I’m doing this to remember my sibling, to support my parents, and to help raise awareness and funds for a charity that supports families facing the devastating loss of a baby.
Every step will be for my family, for my sibling, and for all the families who have experienced a loss like ours.
